Welcome to the fascinating world of dramatic improvisation! Improvisation as a hobby has achieved a significant position in the last ten years. It is practiced by millions of people around the world and has become a major global movement.
Improvisation liberates, develops interaction skills and communication. It is an important tool for many different aspects of life. This weekend course in improvisation introduces you to the basics of improvisation, the YES-AND principle, storytelling, different emotions and status, character building, and the birth of drama. However, the most important thing is to have fun in a safe and encouraging atmosphere.
Everyone can come exactly how they are. You don’t have to have any previous improv nor acting experience. All you need is an open and interested attitude!
The course is led by Hosanna Megumi and Liisa Moliis.
The course will be held mainly in English. Swedish and Finnish are also optional to those who wish to communicate with them.

Liisa Moliis
is a professional musician, singer and music teacher who has performed e.g. in the US, Spain and Macedonia. She graduated from JKL School of Music in 2002 and has since then taught music, dance and improv. She has also studied acting in Finland (e.g. Impro Helsinki graduate) and in the US, and has a special love for improv. She is an active member of POE-teatteri (Agatha Christie’s Mousetrap being their latest work) and is also acting in a couple of international improv groups.
Hosanna Megumi
an international and professional actor & voice-over artist, has worked in theatre, TV, films, commercials, and voice-overs. She has studied with teachers from the US, the UK, and is a proud graduate of Impro Helsinki. Aside from acting, she has produced and directed short films and had her theater directing debut in a play called “Educating Rita” with Passport Theatre Company in October 2021.
